Brad Myers Inducted Into the International Society of Barristers

Kean Miller LLP is pleased to announce that Bradley C. Myers has been elected as  a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers.  Mr. Myers is a litigation partner in the firm and a member of the Management Committee.  The International Society of Barristers is an organization of outstanding trial lawyers from around the world who are chosen for membership by their peers on the basis of excellence and integrity in trial advocacy. The International Society of Barristers seeks to preserve trial by jury, the adversary system, and independence of the judiciary. Members are elected by the Society's Board of Governors on nomination by a Fellow and after a rigorous screening process that considers the lawyer’s ability, experience, accomplishments and ethical standards as assessed by trial lawyers in the nominee’s region and judges before whom the nominee has tried cases.

About Brad Myers

Mr. Myers is a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller LLP.  He joined the firm in 1987 and practices in the litigation group.  Mr. Myers represents clients in toxic tort defense, commercial and business litigation, civil rights and municipal law, and white collar criminal defense.  He has particular experience in litigation involving white collar criminal defense including environmental and healthcare matters and in class actions.  Upon graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael E. Ponder of the 19th Judicial District Court.  He has also served as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana.  He received his J.D. from the LSU Law Center in 1982 where he was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law.  He received his B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1978.  He is admitted to practice in all Federal Courts in Louisiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Mr. Myers is a member of the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, American and Fifth Circuit Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
