Kean Miller LLP Adds Five New Attorneys

Kean Miller LLP is pleased to announce the addition of five new attorneys to its Baton Rouge and New Orleans offices.  The new attorney additions include:  Tokesha M. Collins (Baton Rouge; Environmental), Erin Lutkewitte Kilgore (Baton Rouge; Labor & Employment), Sean T. McLaughlin (New Orleans; Admiralty/Maritime), Carole M. Osborne (Baton Rouge; Medical Malpractice Defense and Health Law), and Sonia O. Williams (New Orleans; Energy Litigation and Admiralty/Maritime).

About Tokesha Collins

Tokesha Collins is an associate in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller LLP. She practices in the Environmental Law group.  Prior to law school, Tokesha was a highway engineer for the Louisiana and Texas Departments of Transportation where she designed roadway, drainage and other highway projects.  In May of 2008, she earned her J.D., with a concentration in Environmental Law, from the University of Maryland School of Law.  While in law school, Tokesha was a Presidential Scholar, as well as a member of The Journal of Business & Technology Law.  She earned her Master of Science in Environmental Planning and Management from Louisiana State University in 2005.  Tokesha earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Brown University in 2001.

About Erin Lutkewitte Kilgore

Erin Kilgore is an associate attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller LLP. practices in the Labor and Employment Law group.  Prior to joining the firm, Erin served as a Law Clerk to United States District Court Judge Jay C. Zainey of the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana.  Erin earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Washington and Lee University in 2004.  In the summer of 2005, Erin studied abroad at the University of Lyon III - Jean Moulin in Lyon, France.  She earned her J.D./B.C.L. from the LSU Law Center in 2007 where she was a member of the Order of the Coif.

About Sean McLaughlin

Sean McLaughlin is an associate attorney in the New Orleans office of Kean Miller LLP.  He practices in the Admiralty and Maritime, Energy, and Litigation groups.  Sean received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in May of 2008 where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Louisiana Law Review.  In law school, Sean served as a law clerk for the Louisiana Department of Justice, the Legislative Bureau of the Louisiana State Senate, and was a judicial intern for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.  He earned his B.A. in Sociology from Louisiana State University in 2005.

About Carole Osborne

Carole Osborne is an associate attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller LLP. She practices in the Medical Malpractice Defense and Health Law groups. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced in an Atlanta law firm for four years where she represented one of the largest and most comprehensive physician group practices in the state.  She also represented a large acute care facility and one of the nation's leading community-based, acute care teaching facilities.  Carole has experience in a wide variety of health law matters, including medical malpractice defense, litigation management, trials, defending depositions, drafting motions and briefs, presenting cases for mediation, negotiating settlements, organizing evidence for trial, trial motions, and appeals.  Carole earned her J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law in 2004 where she concentrated in the Health Law Curriculum. She received her B.A. in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2000.

About Sonia Williams

Sonia Williams is an associate attorney in the New Orleans office of Kean Miller LLP.  She practices in the Energy Litigation and Admiralty and Maritime groups.  Prior to joining Kean Miller LLP, Sonia practiced at a national law firm in Los Angeles, California where she gained experience in federal and state mass toxic tort, commercial litigation and employment litigation.  In 2001, Sonia served as a judicial clerk for Judge Steve Dobrescu and Judge Dan Papez of the Seventh Judicial District Court of Nevada.  The following year, she served as judicial clerk for Justice Cliff Young, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nevada.   Sonia recieved her J.D. from the San Diego School of Law in 2001 where she was the student comments editor of the San Diego International Law Journal.  She earned her B.A. in Economics from California State University, Fullerton in 1994.
