Hays Alexander is a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. He joined the firm in 2004 and practices in the business, corporate and real estate group. Hays has experience in a wide variety of corporate, business, and commercial and industrial real estate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and industrial projects.

• Representation of a major pipeline company in connection with the negotiation and drafting of agreements for the construction and operation of a deep water oil and gas pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico.
• Representation of a Fortune 1000 company in connection with the sale of creation assets of one of its subsidiaries in exchange for approximately $12 million in cash.
• Representation of a publicly-traded media company in connection with numerous acquisitions of outdoor advertising assets in multiple states.
• Representation of consumer finance company in connection with the acquisition of certain loan accounts out of bankruptcy.
• Representation of global fertilizer company in connection with a lease for a plant-in-plant project and related services agreements.
• Representation of numerous individuals and small businesses in connection with acquisitions and divestitures of their respective businesses.
• Representation of Louisiana based company in connection with the acquisition of home health and hospice agency from regional hospital.
• Representation of a large home products retailer in various aspects of land acquisition matters, surveys, and issuance of title policies.

Education

Hays earned J.D. from the Loyola University School of Law in 2002. He earned a B.S. in Marketing from Louisiana State University in 1999.
