Gina D. Banks
Gina Banks is an associate attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 2004 and practices in the commercial litigation, toxic tort, and municipal law groups. Prior to joining Kean Miller, Gina was an associate in the litigation section and a member of the bankruptcy group of a large New Orleans-based law firm. She has experience in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including commercial leases, bankruptcy and workouts, successions, debt collection matters, garnishments, foreclosures, civil rights, oil and gas and in cases involving the construction industry.
Representative Experience
- Representation of large oil companies in legacy oilfield litigation concerning claims of property and groundwater contamination
- Representation of municipalities throughout South Louisiana in the defense of federal civil rights suits
- Representation of Louisiana Municipal Association in significant municipal law issues in appellate courts
- Successfully defended a municipality and police officer in a case alleging excessive force in front of Honorable Judge Ralph E. Tyson

Gina earned her B.S. in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1998. earned her J.D. in 2001 from the LSU Law Center where she was a member of the LSU Tullis Moot Court Board and the Wex S. Malone American Inn of Court.
