Richard McConnell is an associate attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. He joined the firm in 2005 and practices in the environmental and toxic tort litigation groups. Richard assists clients in connection with environmental property damage cases, complex toxic tort class actions, and remediation under various Louisiana and federal environmental laws and regulations including CERCLA and RCRA. Richard also assists clients in contract disputes.

• Representation of oil and gas companies in lawsuits involving alleges property damage and remediation issues related to historic oil and gas operations.
• Representation of chemical companies in lawsuits alleging personal injuries resulting from chemical releases.

Richard earned his J.D., cum laude, from the Tulane University School of Law in May 2005 where he was articles editor for the Tulane Law Review. He earned his B.S. in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University in 2000.
