Tara Montgomery Madison is a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 2004 and practices in the commercial litigation and intellectual property groups.  She has particular experience in trademark, copyright, trade dress, and trade secret matters, including copyright and trademark infringement litigation.

• Representation of a publicly-traded advertising company in a wide variety of trademark and copyright issues.

• Representation of various authors, musicians, and artists in a range of copyright matters.
• Representation of numerous Louisiana companies in protecting and enhancing their brands through Brand Management Programs.
  

Education

Tara earned her J.D./Bachelors of Civil Law from the LSU Law Center in 2004 and was an Editor in Chief of the Louisiana Law Review. In law school she was a member of the Order of the Coif, the Chancellor's List, and the Wex Malone Inns of Court. She earned a B.A. in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University in 2001 where she was a University Medalist for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average.
