Todd Rossi is a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller.  He joined the firm in 1990 and practices in the insurance coverage group.  Todd is an experienced litigator and has represented clients in the industrial, banking, and other business fields.

Todd spent the first five years of his practice representing insurance companies, but has not represented policyholders for more than fifteen years in coverage disputes.  His experience is varied, and includes representing industrial clients in environmental coverage matters, business liability and economic loss claims, and bank directors and estate administrators in fiduciary claims.  Todd has also been very active in matters related to mediation of multi-million dollar claims; dealing with London brokers and claims persons; recovering attorney’s fees from insurers; and claims against insurance companies involving arbitrary and capricious conduct.  In the last several years, he has successfully recovered tens of millions of dollars from insurance companies on behalf of corporate and industrial clients. Todd has also prepared indemnity/insuring agreements and coverage council for two Louisiana Self Insured Trust Funds.

Education

Todd earned his B.S., summa cum laude, from Manhattan College in 1977 and his J.D. from the LSU Law Center in 1981. He received his LL.M. from New York University in 1989. He has served on the Adjunct Faculty of the LSU Law Center and was a law clerk to the Hon. Fred A. Blanche, Jr., Associate Justice, of the Louisiana Supreme Court from 1981 to 1982.
