Lyn S. Savoie
Lyn Savoie is an associate attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 2003 and practices in the health law group. Lyn provides business and regulatory advice to a variety of health care providers, including acute care hospitals, physician group practices, home health agencies and diagnostic imaging facilities.
Representative Experience
- Represented clients in the health care industry on a wide range of regulatory and business matters, including the impact of federal and Louisiana laws on joint venture arrangements
- Drafted various transactional documents on behalf of health care clients, including professional service agreements, management agreements, and medical director agreements
- Assisted physician groups and other providers with the applicability of HIPAA and state privacy laws to their businesses
Education
Lyn earned her B.S. in Communications, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University in 1997. She earned her J.D., cum laude, in 2003 from Tulane University Law School where she was associate editor of Tulane Law Review. She also served as Executive Secretary, Vice President (1L) and President (3L) of the Student Bar Association and was a member of Phi Delta Phi and Omicron Delta Kappa. Lyn served as the 2003 Tulane University Commencement Soloist and student speaker at the 2003 Tulane Law School Diploma Ceremony. She is listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
