Yuxian Wang is an associate attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 1998 and practices in the areas of environmental, toxic tort defense, asbestos defense, and federal environmental liability. Yuxian has particular substantive experience in the defense of large national and multinational industrial clients in cases involving exposure to hazardous chemicals and in cases involving large scale environmental contamination.
Yuxian has extensive experience in the Louisiana petrochemical and manufacturing industry and assists clients with regard to litigation strategy and management. She has particular expertise in litigation involving the vinyl chloride industry including litigation related to allegations of cancer and other injuries arising from vinyl chloride exposure as well as litigation related to alleged exposure to ethylene dichloride. Yuxian also has experience in making environmental claims against the federal government and state governments, and in defenses available to government contactors. Yuxian also represents the defense of industrial clients in hearing loss claims and asbestos litigation.
Education
Yuxian earned her LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 where she was a Fulbright Scholar. She earned her LL.B. from Wuhan University in 1984.
