Donna Yelverton is an associate attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 1998 and practices in the litigation and toxic tort defense groups. Donna has experience in the Louisiana energy, petrochemical and manufacturing industry and represents clients in class action litigation, toxic tort defense, and commercial litigation. She also counsels clients regarding litigation strategy and management.

Donna has particular experience in litigation involving personal injury defense, toxic tort class actions and legal malpractice defense.

Representative Experience

• Representation of a major petrochemical company in connection with fires at a Baton Rouge refinery and chemical plant and in the defense of ensuing class action lawsuits.
• Representation of a major petrochemical company in connection with a $55 million property damage claim.
• Representation of an association of lawyers in connection with defense against claim for disgorgement of attorney fees.
• Representation of a paint manufacturer in defense of product liability suit.

Education

Donna earned her B.S. from McNeese State University in 1969 and her M.S. from Pace University in 1981. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Cumberland at Samford University in 1997 where she was a member of Phi Delta Phi and a copy editor for the Cumberland Law Review.
