Kean Miller Hosts Second-Annual Law School Prep Program

The second-annual Kean Miller Connection, a two-day law school prep program for college students, was held May 15 through May 16, 2008 at Kean Miller's office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Lawyers from Kean Miller -- Baton Rouge's largest law firm -- along with others, provided an intense overview of the law school experience.  The goals was to "connect" potential law students with information helpful to their decision to attend law school and become an attorney. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Members of a group traditionally underrepresented in law school and the law practice
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed between 45 and 75 college credits
  • Must be a Louisiana resident
Program Details and Benefits:

The program was held on Thursday, May 15 through Friday, May 16, 2008 at Kean Miller's Baton Rouge office in the Kean Miller Conference Center.  The office is located in downtown Baton Rouge in the One American Place tower on the 18th Floor.  The program included:
  • Guidance on law school admission
  • Mock law school classes
  • Career options overview
  • Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) review and materials
  • Networking with practicing attorneys
  • Tuition was free
  • Breakfast and lunches provided at no cost to participants
