Pamela A. Baxter

Pamela Baxter is an associate attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller.  She joined the firm in 2007 and practices in the business, corporate and intellectual property groups. Pamela assists business clients in obtaining and protecting patent rights, trademark registration and protection, and in copyright and trade secret matters.  She represents litigation clients in cases involving allegations of unfair competition.  Pamela has particular expertise in the development of negotiation of software license agreements and agreements involving the Internet and Web-based applications.

  • Representation of clients in patent prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office

  • Representation of Fortune 1000 industrial client in negotiation of software licenses and software development agreements with major software providers

Education

Pamela earned her B.S. in Genetics in 2002 from Texas A&M University.  She earned her J.D. and her B.S. in Civil Law in 2007 from the LSU Law Center where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Intellectual Property Moot Court team.  Pamela was awarded the CALI Award for Advanced Trademark and Unfair Competition Law, International Intellectual Property, Conflicts Law, Corporate Taxation, Louisiana Civil Procedure II, Administration of Criminal Justice, Antitrust Law and Patent Law.
