Entry-Level Legal Secretary – New Orleans

Kean Miller has an opening for a Legal Secretary to work in our New Orleans office for one Maritime Litigation Partner. Willing to train the right person who is professional, seeking a long-term career and has excellent writing and grammar skills.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Typing emails, letters, correspondence pleadings
- E-File court filings
- Maintain and track schedules and calendars
- Arrange meetings and conference calls
- Open new matters
- Run conflict checks
- Maintain an electronic and paper filing system
- Process expenses and/or invoices for payment
- Input time into billing software
- Transcribe dictation
If candidate does not have prior legal secretary experience, we are willing to train a recent college graduate with a strong desire to work in an office environment and learn the law. Inexperienced candidates must have keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills, high proficiency in MS Office, positive attitude, patience, and ability to successfully manage a variety of demands daily
