Willie Kolarik, Jaye Calhoun, and Katherine Conklin will participate in panel discussions at the National Association of State Bar Tax Sections (NASBTS) Annual Meeting on October 15, 2026. Willie will join Sam Breslow of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton and Cheryl Upham of Cozen O’Connor for “Sales Tax Impossible: Deciphering the Statutory Realities of Sales and Use Tax on Digital Products and Services,” moderated by Jaye. The panel will examine what constitutes the tax base for digital products and services, highlight emerging areas of concern, and address key challenges in Pennsylvania, New York, Louisiana, and Texas.

Kathy Conklin will join Olga Goldberg of Pierce Atwood and Matt Kirk of Holland & Knight for a discussion on retirement planning strategies individuals should consider—or reconsider. The panel will explore strategies being implemented across a range of net-worth levels, including Roth conversions, “Rich Person Roth” strategies, and Private Placement Life Insurance.
