Kean Miller Connects Minority College Students With Information on Attending Law School and Becoming an Attorney

For many minority college students, entering law school and becoming an attorney may seem out of reach. Kean Miller, one of Louisiana’s largest law firms, launched the Kean Miller Connection program to provide minority college students with helpful information and classes on the law school experience, opportunities in the legal profession, and guidance on becoming an attorney.

About the Program

Kean Miller Connection is a two-day law school preparatory program for college juniors and seniors from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in area law schools. The goal of the program is to “connect” students with information helpful in making the decision to attend law school and become an attorney. Practicing attorneys from Kean Miller along with special law-related faculty, provide an intense overview of the law school training. The program provides information and guidance on law school admission standards, insight into opportunities in the legal field, speakers from all facets of the legal profession, and information designed to encourage minorities to enter law school, and ultimately, the legal profession.
