Paralegal/ Litigation Support Specialist - Baton Rouge

Kean Miller has an opening for an experienced paralegal with a background in litigation support and technology to work in our Baton Rouge office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain, administer, support, and train on existing practice support applications and databases
  • Provide advice and direction with document productions such as options for managing client data
  • Upload requested information; create designated folders with new data; verify to ensure data was uploaded and that all requisite data fields have been populated as to each upload
  • Perform quality control checks on all deliverables received from third parties
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with Kean Miller’s courtroom presentation tools
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of electronic discovery best practices
  • Understanding of database structure, design, set-up and utilization
  • Understanding of document management
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience as a paralegal or in litigation support in a defense firm
  • Must have a high level of computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office Software Suite and a working knowledge of a document management system
  • Experience using electronic resources and litigation support software is strongly preferred
  • Excellent time management, organizational abilities and strong proofreading skills are also required
  • Prior e-discovery experience identifying, collecting, processing, reviewing and producing documents required
  • Proficiency in Practice Support applications
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of specific support applications such as Relativity, Ringtail, LAW, CaseMap, and Trial Director
