Amanda Stout provides strategic legal counsel to employers and businesses across a broad range of labor and employment and commercial litigation matters. She has extensive experience defending clients in employment, consumer financial services, and general commercial litigation at both the trial and appellate levels.
In her labor and employment practice, Amanda has defended local government entities and private employers against claims involving discrimination, harassment, whistleblower claims, wage and hour issues, and non-compete agreements under federal and state statutes. She has represented employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Louisiana Commission on Human Rights, and U.S. Department of Labor.
In addition to litigation, Amanda works proactively with clients to reduce the risk of employment claims by drafting and updating employment policies, conducting training for managers and employees, and advising on hiring, discipline, termination, and other employment decisions.
Amanda’s commercial litigation practice includes representing businesses in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, consumer financial disputes, general insurance defense and coverage disputes, unfair trade practices and other related matters. Her experience spans the education, insurance, financial service, hospitality, and aviation industries.
