Karen Morgan practices in the labor and employment law, commercial litigation, casualty litigation, and probate groups.
Karen has more than 30 years of civil litigation experience. She practices in state and federal courts representing both plaintiffs and defendants and focuses on employment, unfair competition, and securities litigation. Karen represents clients in discrimination, covenants not to compete, trade secret, FLSA, breach of contract, and wrongful termination cases. She conducts employment investigations and routinely handles race discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, ADA, and retaliation suits.
Karen provides individualized strategic legal advice to financial advisors and broker dealers in the financial services industry, including transition assistance and advice relating to contracts and agreements, and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority inquiries. Karen’s securities practice includes representing brokerage firms in recruiting actions before FINRA.
Karen’s practice also includes representation of individuals in probate and contest of wills.
Prior to joining Kean Miller, Karen practiced in state and federal courts representing both plaintiffs and defendants and focuses on disputes arising out of upstream oil and gas activities including well blowouts, environmental incidents, commercial disputes, and tort claims. She also handled insurance coverage matters involving domestic and international policies as well as indemnity claims under oilfield services agreements.
