HR Recruiting Intern – Baton Rouge

Kean Miller is seeking a graduating senior taking a gap year to attend Law School or Grad School in the Fall of 2025 who is interested in working as a Legal Recruiting Intern. 

The ideal candidate must be willing to work full-time beginning June 1st.   

Duties:

• Plan and attend various recruitment activities for law students (on-campus programming and receptions, callbacks, summer events, offer dinners, etc.).
• Assist with all aspects of law school on-campus interviews (OCI), including candidate pre-selections and preparing OCI materials for interview days. 
• Prepare offer packets.
• In collaboration with the Chief HR Officer and HR Specialist, plan and execute the Firm’s Summer Associate program, including tracking and reviewing Summer Associate assignments and evaluations, assisting with event planning, sending event reminders and tracking RSVPs, attending Summer Associate social events and training sessions, and preparing materials for Summer Associate reviews.
• Create summer event invitations through Canva. 
• Contact vendors, confirm reservations and accommodations.
• Prepare event space (create name tags, set up food and beverage, coordinate parking/Ubers/Feti’s, etc.).
• Attendance at all summer event functions (Thursday evenings, 6pm – 11pm). 
• Facilitating the end-of-summer exit process.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Outgoing, social, and enjoys interacting with others. Seeking candidates who thrive in social situations.
• Energetic, charismatic, and confident in communicating. 
• Strong attention to detail, creative, problem solver who thinks quickly on their feet to solve any issues that may arise before or during an event. 
• Able to create a memorable event that meets the needs and expectations of the Firm.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A proactive approach with a “can do” attitude. 
• Highly organized with excellent follow up and follow through skills.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior work experience in a professional office setting helpful.
