Katie Hollowell advises on all types of insolvency matters, including general bankruptcy and business reorganizations, loan negotiations, workouts, collateral review, commercial collections, and foreclosures. She also works on client teams that defend state and federal court general commercial litigation.
Katie represents lenders and borrowers in financing negotiations and distressed debt workouts for secured financing ranging from $100,000 to $100 million and involving auto sales and finance, construction, consumer finance, energy, equipment leasing, healthcare, offshore production, offshore services, real estate development, and retail. She guides lenders and debt purchasers, as well as national counsel, through legal due diligence, collateral review, and opinion letters.
Katie also advocates the rights of multinational and local energy companies, service companies, and contractors involved in insolvency and other bankruptcy matters pertaining to their contractors, operators, partners, vendors, predecessors, and successors in title. She advocates the rights of banks, commercial finance and other secured lenders, and servicers in bankruptcy cases across Louisiana. Katie is valued for safeguarding the rights of secured and unsecured creditors in foreclosure and collections proceedings in state and federal courts.
