With one of the largest intellectual property practices in the region, Kean Miller is pleased to announce that Stephen Kepper has joined the firm as an associate in the New Orleans office.

Stephen focuses his practice on intellectual property law, advising clients on the protection, enforcement, and strategic use of patents, trademarks, and other IP assets. He works with businesses across a range of industries to develop and manage IP portfolios, structure licensing arrangements, and navigate disputes involving patent infringement, trade secrets, and related matters.

With more than a decade of experience, Stephen represents clients in complex intellectual property litigation in federal courts across the country. As a registered patent attorney, he also regularly prosecutes patents before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has secured more than 100 patents spanning a variety of technologies.

Stephen’s technical background as a mechanical engineer informs his ability to work with clients in highly specialized industries, including energy and maritime sectors. He brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to helping clients protect and maximize the value of their innovations.

Stephen earned his J.D. from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2012 and his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2007.
