Allison Colón concentrates her practice on commercial litigation, complex business transactions, and corporate bankruptcy matters. Drawing on more than 25 years of legal experience, she guides corporations, limited liability companies, financial institutions, and other corporate clients through high-stakes litigation, strategic transactions, and commercial disputes. Licensed in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi and fluent in Spanish, Allison delivers comprehensive, business-minded counsel to clients across a wide range of industries.
Allison’s practice encompasses matters related to corporate governance, business disputes, contract negotiations, corporate finance, creditors’ rights, the sale of corporate entities, construction disputes, insurance coverage and recovery, and oil and gas leases. She regularly advises clients on general business matters, commercial financing transactions, business sales and acquisitions, construction defects, priority among secured creditors, fiduciary duties owed by directors and officers, critical contract provisions, the preservation and protection of trade secrets and other intellectual property, and minimizing economic risks in the event of a contract counterparty’s subsequent financial distress. Allison represents her clients in state and federal courts, arbitral forums, and appellate courts.
