"Understanding the realities of offshore operations allows me to help clients anticipate challenges, manage risks, and advance their business objectives."

Dylan Speck focuses his practice on offshore energy and marine litigation, representing oilfield operators, offshore service companies, and other businesses in high-stakes disputes throughout Texas and the Gulf Coast.

Dylan has significant experience defending personal injury, wrongful death, survival actions, and catastrophic injury claims arising from both land-based and maritime incidents. He regularly handles complex litigation involving commercial disputes, premises liability, products liability, and other liability-related matters in both state and federal courts.

Dylan’s work regularly involves complex matters governed by general maritime law and key federal statutes, including the Jones Act, the LHWCA, the OCSLA, and the Defense Base Act. In addition to his offshore and maritime practice, Dylan has experience handling insurance defense, commercial trucking, and other complex litigation matters.

Prior to attending law school, Dylan worked for an offshore services company, providing him with firsthand industry insight that enhances his ability to understand his clients’ operations, anticipate challenges, and develop practical litigation strategies. A native Houstonian, he leverages both his industry background and litigation experience to help clients manage risk, protect their interests, and navigate complex disputes.
