Jamie Madison focuses her practice on estate planning and probate litigation, advising individuals and families on how to protect their assets, plan for the future, and navigate complex estate and trust disputes. She works closely with clients to develop customized estate plans that reflect their goals, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives, while also representing clients in probate and trust administration and litigation matters.
Jamie takes a comprehensive approach to estate planning, regularly collaborating with financial advisors, CPAs, and fiduciaries to ensure strategies are coordinated and effective. She also guides clients through the administration process, assisting with asset transfers, beneficiary designations, and court filings to ensure estates are handled efficiently and in accordance with applicable law.
In addition to her planning practice, Jamie has experience managing a diverse litigation portfolio, including drafting petitions, discovery and motions, and advocating for clients’ interests in both court proceedings and at the negotiation table. Her combined experience allows her to anticipate potential disputes and proactively structure estate plans to minimize risk.
Before moving to Houston, Jamie served as a trust administration officer at a private bank, where she worked closely with trust department professionals and wealth managers to support the administration of multi-generational trusts and estates. She played a key role in client communications, coordinated distributions, tracked asset valuations, and contributed to the development of internal policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Jamie also gained early experience as a legal intern with the Fort Worth Independent School District, where she assisted with transactional and litigation matters, including contract drafting, negotiations, and regulatory compliance.
