Philip Young focuses his practice on offshore energy, marine litigation, and labor and employment disputes. He joined the firm in 2025 and assists in a variety of litigation matters involving drilling operations, marine transport, and compliance with various regulations involving the maritime industry in Louisiana and Texas. His employment law experience includes managing wage and hour claims under the FLSA, and he regularly represents employers in cases involving allegations of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under both federal and state law. In addition to his litigation practice, Philip advises clients on employment contracts, non-compete clauses, employee handbooks, and workplace policies.
While in law school, Philip served as a Senior Associate for the Louisiana Law Review and a member of the Ethics Committee. He also worked as an Intern for Judge David C. Joseph of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana and tutored under Professor Alain Levasseur.
Prior to law school, Philip worked as a Certified Neurodiagnostic Intraoperative Monitoring Technologist, where he monitored over 3,500 surgical procedures. While working in the operating room, Philip collaborated with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and advanced practice providers to assist the medical team in providing excellent patient care.
