A former real estate and legal professional, Sam Sharp is a skilled real estate attorney and title insurance agent with significant and varied experience in real estate transactions of all kinds, corporate mergers and acquisitions, commercial litigation, and successions and estate planning. Her real estate experience includes conducting complex title examinations from patent to present, performing a variety of curative title work, negotiating and obtaining title insurance coverage tailored to transaction-specific goals, and facilitating all aspects of both residential and commercial real estate purchases, sales, and financing.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Sam owned and operated her own general notarial practice and real estate title company, where she served as a title abstractor, title agent, and closing notary public. In her notarial practice, Sam prepared and passed last wills, small succession affidavits, mandates, matrimonial agreements, leases, and other notarial acts of all kinds.
Sam currently serves as a consulting notary public for the Louisiana State Notary Exam administered by the LSU Office of Testing & Evaluation Services and is a technical editor of Louisiana Notarial Law and Practice, the official study guide for the Louisiana State Notary Exam. She previously served as Education Committee Chair, Director, and Vice President of the Louisiana Notary Association.
