At its core, PI&PM helps us develop the right approaches to carry out a certain type of legal work while keeping efficiency, quality, predictability, and reliability top of mind.  PI&PM is not just about doing more with less; it is about doing the right things and doing them right – every single time. Kean Miller regularly conducts process mapping and improvement workshops with clients and internal client teams. More than 75 of our attorneys have been trained by the Legal Lean Institute, a leading PI&PM consulting firm for the legal profession.

More recently, our firm has launched several initiatives to leverage the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to benefit our clients and our attorneys. Our AI Task Force and our Technology Committees stay abreast of new developments in technology to help our attorneys be as efficient as they are effective. Kean Miller has recently adopted and enabled the use of Westlaw Precision, Practical Law Dynamic, CoCounsel, and Pattern Builder Max for NetDocs. Our AI Task Force is consistently exploring and testing the responsible use of next generation AI platforms, online research services, and various legal-specific tools while balancing the need to protect our clients’ privacy and maintain the highest standards of legal ethics.
