Judith Meyer is of counsel in the Houston office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 2017 and focuses her practice on securities litigation, broker litigation, breach of contract matters, business disputes, mediation and arbitration, construction defect litigation, premises liability and toxic tort defense, employment torts, and commercial real estate matters.

Judith is a qualified mediator for general civil disputes under the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Act and has served as a volunteer mediator for the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center.

  • Representation of national and regional broker-dealer firms in securities arbitration and litigation
  • Successful defense of a national broker-dealer in cases alleging fraudulent research
  • Representation of an international steel company in the defense of asbestos and other toxic tort claims in Texas, and in jurisdictions around the country
  • Representation of industrial clients in premises liability, toxic tort and breach of contract cases
  • Representation of a global ride-sharing company in administrative and court proceedings to protect trade secrets under the Texas Public Information Act
  • Representation of construction and engineering firms in negligence and breach of contract suits
  • Representation of on-line retailer in trademark infringement case
Education

Judith earned her B.S., magna cum laude, from Louisiana State University in 1979. She earned her J.D. in 1985 from Tulane University School of Law, where she was articles editor of the Maritime Lawyer and winner of the Senior Trial Competition.
