Kean Miller Adds Tax Talent in Houston

Kean Miller’s growth in Texas continues as we announce the addition of Kevin A. Baker as an associate. Kevin joins the firm in our downtown Houston office, where he will focus his practice on tax and tax controversy matters.

Kevin has extensive experience with complex tax litigation, audits, and corporate transactions, drawing on his IRS background to deliver strategic counsel on issues under the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, and administrative tax procedures. He has prepared and reviewed legal documents such as memoranda, letters, discovery, motions, and briefs. Kevin has provided advice on complex tax issues, including transfer-pricing, fuel credits and excise taxes, conservation easements, and worthless partnership interest deductions.

Kevin earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the Texas Tech University School of Law along with his M.B.A. from the Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business in 2019 and his B.A. in Psychology from University of Michigan in 2017.
