An accomplished litigator, Phillip will practice in the occupational exposure and toxic tort practices. Additionally, he has extensive experience in oil, gas, and mineral law in which he frequently represents landowners, and negotiates mineral rights issues. He also defends mining and mineral companies with respect to complex leasing and regulatory matters, including those involving the Louisiana Oil Well Lien Act. In addition to this experience, Phillip is the past President of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association.

Phillip is a native of Southwest Louisiana, attending Northwestern in Natchitoches for his undergraduate degree, and LSU Law Center in Baton Rouge for his J.D., where he participated in the summer study abroad program, studying under U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal Senior Judge Henry Politz and former U.S. Attorney General Richard Thornburgh. A committed steward of the local community, Phillip serves with several charitable organizations at the board and committee levels. He has been repeatedly recognized for his leadership and contributions to the Kiwanis Club of Lake Charles, and is a graduate of the Chamber Southwest Leadership Program. Aside from his professional and community endeavors, Phillip can frequently be found in local venues playing guitar with his band.
