Kean Miller Expands Offshore Energy, Marine Litigation, and Emergency Response Teams in Texas

Kean Miller is pleased to announce that Timothy W. Strickland and Stacey T. Norstrud have joined the Firm in our downtown Houston office. This strategic addition to our Texas offices extends our offshore energy, marine litigation and incident response capabilities along the Gulf Coast from New Orleans to Lafayette, from Lake Charles to Houston, and from Corpus Christi to Brownsville.

A respected maritime defense lawyer, Tim Strickland joins Kean Miller has a partner in Houston. He has decades of experience and has litigated claims in state and federal courts including maritime and general personal injury defense, emergency and incident response, premises liability, international salvage disputes, insurance coverage, energy construction disputes, and complex international business trade issues. Tim has sat for and passed his United Sates Coast Guard O.U.P.V. test to obtain a USCG Captain’s license. Tim earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1991 and he earned his B.S. from Texas Tech University in 1988. Tim is an officer in Coastal Conservation Association Texas.

An accomplished litigator, Stacey Norstrud joins the Firm as Senior Counsel in Houston. She has over two decades of experience primarily focusing on Jones Act cases and maritime-related civil litigation. She has been on the front lines on several major marine casualty and oil spill cases and has worked closely with government officials, regulatory agencies, and global corporations. Stacey earned her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 1999 and earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from St. Edwards University in 1995.
