"Not every client’s objectives are the same. I believe in really listening to each client’s challenges, concerns, and goals so that I can provide better legal solutions that parallel those specific objectives."

Ambrose Stearns focuses his practice on offshore energy and marine litigation and general casualty claims, as well as advises on business and corporate matters.

Ambrose assists all types of businesses, particularly energy companies based in and doing business across Louisiana, at every phase of development and on a wide variety of legal matters. His experience includes general business and transactional advice, regulatory guidance and counsel, entity formation, and the preparation of contracts, such as employment agreements and all types of other commercial contracts, partnering arrangements, and service agreements.

In addition, Ambrose litigates federal and state court claims on behalf of insurance companies, publicly and privately held businesses, and individuals involved in premises liability and marine and offshore energy litigation, UM/UIM litigation, commercial litigation, general casualty claims, insurance litigation, and appellate advocacy.

Ambrose is a smart advocate who is valued for thinking outside of the box when it comes to focusing on the solutions his clients need to realize their right end game. As a negotiator and litigator, both in and out of court, Ambrose is appreciated for his ability to convert legal theory into actionable and persuasive talking points.

Prior to private practice, Ambrose served as an Extern for Judge deGravelles of the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana and for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Louisiana. This experience shaped Ambrose’s understanding of the courts from an insider’s perspective – giving him hands-on experience in what influences the judge’s decisions. He also had the opportunity to work with law enforcement and gained a more practical understanding of the protocols associated with gathering evidence.
